Courage International
"Makes a Difference
to the lives of people living in the Afore district"
For many years, the peoples living in the Afore
district, district, located at the northern end of the Kokoda
Trail in Papua New Guinea, have been commercially exploited by
others who have made fortunes from this resource rich, cash poor
community. This is now changing, with the Afore district’s
peoples given a chance to shake of their slavery to the rich and
take their future prosperity into their own hands.
Courage International, in partnership with leading
Pastors and Business leaders from the Afore district has established
the Afore Economic Development Corporation (AEDC). AEDC
is a Co-operative, owned by the people, but funded and professionally
managed by Courage International in conjunction with key leaders,
local churches and overseers.
